BE4R gearbox conversion with TU engine, keeping the engine in its OE position
| BE4R gearbox | No welding | OE position | 106 / Saxo |
Satchell Engineering's new TU/BE4R mount kit for the Peugeot 106 and Citroën Saxo keeps the engine in its OE position.
The key is the new short intermediate shaft, which lets the engine and gearbox sit square and level in the engine bay. This brings significant benefits when carrying out the BE4R gearbox conversion in the 106 and Saxo.
| More clearance: moves the inner CV cup away from the chassis rail. | |
| More balanced driveshafts: more even lengths on both sides of the car. | |
| Better CV angles: less movement on the inner CV and more droop travel. | |
| No welding, with the engine kept at its OE position and angle. |
| Top gearbox mount | Pin type, poly bushed |
| Rear gearbox bracket/mount | Poly bushed |
| Additional 4th rear mount | Poly bushed, integrated into the intermediate bearing carrier |
