The helmet is the most important part of the safety of the pilot and co-pilot, regardless of their level.
All helmets must be FIA and SNELL approved to pass technical scrutineering. In addition, drivers who want to drive an open-faced or single-seater car must wear a full-face helmet .
Helmets must have HANS system clips installed to reduce the risk of cervical vertebral fracture and muscle elongation in the event of a collision.
To choose the correct size, the helmet should not move around on your head or be too tight. You should keep in mind that the pads end up giving way a little with use, so it is normal for them to be a little tight.
You just have to measure your head around the forehead (even better with the balaclava on) and get the size according to the following table.
Although some manufacturers use their own sizing, please consult us if in doubt.
