Ferodo Racing
Ferodo Racing brake pads — the world's number one manufacturer of high-performance brakes
Ferodo Racing is the absolute benchmark brand for competition brake pads. With more than 125 years of history and a pioneer in the development of modern friction materials, Ferodo covers every performance need: from the enthusiast who does the occasional track day to the professional rally, GT or endurance driver. Its range of compounds is the widest and most proven on the market, with specific references for practically any vehicle.
With Ferodo Racing brake pads braking distances are shorter, with perfect pedal feel from the very first stop. Its compounds, based on Siloxane technology rather than the usual carbon-ceramic, do not degrade at high temperatures, maintaining optimum braking power even in the most demanding conditions. Lower disc wear, longer life and a gradual, progressive response are the hallmarks of the whole range.
Ferodo Racing compounds
DS2500 — suffix H in the reference Ferodo Racing's most popular pad. Constant 0.42 friction coefficient between 20 and 500 °C, which makes it effective from ambient temperature. Excellent pedal feel, gentle on the disc and suitable for road and track-day use. The most common choice for the rear axle in rally and for drivers looking for a step up in quality for everyday sporty driving or occasional track sessions. |
DS3000 — suffix R in the reference The star compound in rally and competition. 0.48 friction coefficient between 200 and 650 °C with a very short bedding-in time. Very even and consistent braking within its temperature range. It needs to be warmed up to work in optimal conditions, so it is not suitable for road use. The most popular choice for the front axle in rally and hill climbs. |
DS1.11 — suffix W in the reference A compound with ceramic and carbon technology designed to work consistently at high temperatures. 0.46 friction coefficient between 200 and 750 °C. Very consistent performance over long track sessions, with a smooth torque curve and excellent modulation. Ideal for endurance and GT racing, where pedal stability over many laps is essential. Not recommended for road use. |
DSUNO — suffix Z in the reference The highest-performing compound in the Ferodo Racing range. 0.48 friction coefficient between 200 and 750 °C, with maximum braking capacity and minimal fade. Designed for high-level competition where braking power and control are critical. Not recommended for road use. |
4003 — suffix C in the reference A compound developed specifically for light single-seaters (Formula 3, Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Formula Campus) and occasional rally use. Ferodo's choice for entry-level motorsport categories. |
