What is the difference between this 2:1 reducer and one with a smaller ratio (e.g., 1:1.5)?
The higher the steering ratio (2:1 versus 1:1.5), the fewer turns of the steering wheel you need for the same wheel rotation: the steering becomes more direct, but also more sensitive. The choice depends on your driving style and how much sensitivity you want from the steering.
How is it installed, with welded or threaded bushings?
This model includes bushings for welding to the steering column. We recommend that installation be carried out by a workshop experienced in vehicle modifications, as it directly affects the vehicle's steering system.
