Goodridge Brake Lines

Goodridge braided brake lines for cars

The Goodridge braided brake lines are the most effective and affordable upgrade you can make to your car's braking system. Unlike factory rubber hoses, which expand under pressure over time and create that unpleasant spongy pedal feel, braided lines stay consistently rigid: the pressure you apply with your foot is transmitted 100% to the brake calipers, with no losses.

Goodridge is the world's leading manufacturer of high-performance brake lines. Its kits are made with PTFE inner tube and braided stainless steel outer, which ensures maximum resistance to pressure, heat and corrosion. They are compatible with standard DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluid.

Frequently asked questions about Goodridge braided brake lines

Do braided brake lines eliminate spongy pedal feel?

Yes, it is one of the most noticeable effects. Factory rubber hoses expand under pressure over time, which creates that soft or spongy pedal feeling. By replacing them with Goodridge braided lines, pressure is transmitted directly and consistently, restoring a firm, progressive pedal from the very first millimetre.

Do you provide any certificate for the vehicle inspection (ITV)?

Yes. All Goodridge kits bought on our website include a certificate of conformity that you can present directly at the ITV. This document confirms that the product meets the required safety standards and that its installation does not constitute a modification of the braking system, so no additional paperwork is needed.

Can I choose the colour of the brake lines?

Yes, Goodridge offers a wide range of colours for the outer cover of the line. If you do not specify a colour when ordering, they will be supplied in matt black, which is the standard finish and the closest to the original hose. If you want another colour, let us know in the order notes or contact us before buying.

Are they compatible with the brake fluid I already have?

Yes, Goodridge brake lines are fully compatible with DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 fluids, which are standard on the vast majority of vehicles. Take advantage of the line change to renew the brake fluid as well: it is good practice, as the PTFE tube transmits temperature better and it is best to start with fluid in perfect condition.

I can't find my car model in the catalogue — what should I do?

Contact us. Goodridge makes brake lines for practically any vehicle, including uncommon and competition models. In that case the kit is made to measure and delivery takes 7 to 10 working days. You can contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp and we will give you a quote with no obligation.

Does installation require a specialist workshop?

The replacement itself is not technically complex, but as it involves the braking system we recommend having it done by an experienced mechanic. The most delicate step is bleeding the brake circuit after fitting, which must be done correctly to make sure there are no air bubbles left in the system.
