Dashcams
Dashcam — Car cameras
A dashcam (dashboard camera) is the cheapest insurance you can install in your car. It continuously records everything that happens in front of — and behind — the vehicle, protecting the driver against accidents, insurance fraud, parking vandalism and any incident on the road. In the event of a claim, the recording is objective, irrefutable evidence that can save you time, money and disputes with your insurer.
Modern dashcams record in Full HD, 2K or 4K, include advanced night vision, a G-sensor for impact detection, GPS, WiFi connectivity and parking mode with motion detection. Installation is simple and does not require modifying the vehicle.

Single or dual channel Dashcams with a single channel only record forward. Those with dual channel include a second camera to also record the rear or the cabin interior — essential for taxis, ride-hailing and passenger transport vehicles. |
Connectivity WiFi lets you download videos directly to your phone without removing the SD card. Models with an app offer full configuration from your smartphone. Some models include cloud connectivity for real-time remote access. |
| Range | Resolution | Included features |
|---|---|---|
| 40 – 80 € | HD / 1080p | Loop recording, G-sensor, basic features |
| 80 – 150 € | 1080p / 2K | Night vision, dual channel, WiFi, app |
| +150 € | 2.5K / 4K | GPS, ADAS, Sony STARVIS sensor, cloud connectivity |
Installation tip: Always install the dashcam behind the interior rear-view mirror, at the top of the windshield. That way it stays out of the driver's field of view and reduces the risk of theft. Powering it from the cigarette lighter (12V) is the simplest installation; if you prefer no visible cables, a fixed installation hardwired to the fuse box is the cleanest option.
