USR slotted discs can significantly improve brake performance and durability when used with a set of compatible high friction pads. Having sold hundreds of thousands of brake kits, EBC is confident that its approach is as perfect as possible.

We are of the opinion that slotted discs have been "oversold" by certain market participants and our findings show that a slotted disc will only provide benefits if used with a pad that compensates for its reduced surface area. The benefits of ventilation and encouraging flat, even and smooth pad wear are a clear advantage in favour of the disc, but the trick is to choose a compatible brake set and not simply expect a slotted disc to improve braking on its own. When used with high friction pads such as EBC Redstuff, Greenstuff or Yellowstuff these discs will perform their braking function better. The difference in the slot pattern of the EBC USR Series has made this line a popular choice with drivers who want improved sport braking with minimal slot noise.

The finer groove pattern is what makes these sport discs quieter in operation, whilst still providing pad ventilation and removal of dirty dust and water impurities from the braking area. USR discs are ultra-quiet.
