The glove is one of the fundamental elements for the pilot.

FIA regulations 8856-2018 impose new requirements on the manufacture of pilot gloves : the hand must not be in direct contact with the leather and the glove must have a layer of Nomex fabric.

How to choose your Rally glove correctly?

As with the rest of the pilot's equipment, the main characteristic that it must meet is protection.

In addition to being fireproof , some gloves have reinforcements or padding for the fingers or palm of the hand for greater vibration dampening and enhanced protection .

The addition of leather or silicone inserts allows for a better grip sensation with the steering wheel, they are found on the inside of the fingers and palm of most racing gloves.

The seams of the gloves can be on the inside or outside.

The external seams make the glove less aesthetically pleasing but allow for greater comfort and less friction sensations.

Internal seams look much nicer but can be uncomfortable if you don't choose the right size.

Wrist support is equally important as it allows you to keep your glove in place while driving.

How to choose the size of your rally glove?

It is very simple, you just have to measure your hand around the fingers without counting the thumb, and depending on the cm you get the size according to this table.
