HID bulbs for cars

HID HALOGEN BULBS

Technology in the automotive world is increasingly advancing, especially in the lighting sector.

Without reaching products as sophisticated as laser lighting, halogen bulbs have evolved enormously and the latest evolution is HID bulbs.

HID or High Intensity Discharge bulbs mean “High Intensity Discharge” and their operation is similar to xenon but at low voltage.

The history of HID bulbs in the automotive industry is recent, but their technology is not so new, as they are very commonly used in civil engineering.

These quartz bulbs contain xenon gas inside (just like fluorescent bulbs) which, when burned by the electrodes (not filaments), produce a white light similar to daylight.

Among the main characteristics of HID lights is that they provide the duct with 3 times more lighting than a normal bulb but with much lower consumption.

HID lights provide a white color between 5000k and 7000k that allows you to see all road signs perfectly.
