Carbon Fiber Intake Kits
Carbon Air Intake
More power, better response and a sporty sound under the hood
For many tuning enthusiasts, modifying a car goes far beyond aesthetics: it's a way to get the most out of the vehicle. Along with sport suspensions, wheel spacers, and new rims, carbon fiber intakes are one of the most effective and sought-after engine modifications. A high-quality sport intake system improves the flow of cool air from outside, reduces resistance, and can result in a noticeable increase in power and torque.

✓
More power and torque
Less resistance to flow and denser air towards the engine.
|
✓
Less weight
Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) versus the standard plastic case.
|
✓
Sports sound
More direct aspiration with a characteristic intake tone.

A carbon intake (also called a carbon intake kit or carbon intake system) replaces the vehicle's stock air filter box and intake pipe. It's made from high-quality carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP), a material known for its extremely low weight, high heat resistance, and excellent aerodynamic properties. The smooth inner surface of the carbon pipe reduces turbulence in the intake tract, allowing the engine to receive fresh, oxygen-rich air more effectively—and, incidentally, giving the engine bay a premium, sporty look.
The principle is simple: a carbon fiber intake channels cooler outside air—often drawn directly from the front of the vehicle—more efficiently into the intake manifold. Cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen per unit volume, allowing for more efficient combustion and potentially resulting in increased power and torque. Combined with other modifications, such as a performance exhaust or a power upgrade, a carbon fiber intake unlocks its full potential.
Exact compatibility: The intake must be compatible with the specific model, engine type, and year of manufacture. Connection dimensions, mounting points, and the position of the mass airflow (MAF) sensor are crucial for proper installation.
Homologation: Not all intake systems have general homologation or a valid technical certificate for road use. High-quality intakes, with the appropriate documentation, allow for uncomplicated installation and vehicle inspection (MOT/ITV).
