Are Eibach Pro Kit springs always black?

Not always. Most Eibach Pro Kit springs are black, which is the brand's standard finish. However, some vehicle manufacturers require that the springs for their models be supplied in their corporate color. For example, Pro Kit springs for Fiat and Abarth models are supplied in red, following the manufacturer's specifications. If color is important to you, please consult us before purchasing.

Is it necessary to homologate the Eibach Pro Kit springs even though they are black and not noticeable?

Yes. The color has nothing to do with the homologation requirement. The fact that the springs are black and blend in better than yellow ones doesn't change the fact that legally it's a significant modification. At the vehicle inspection station (ITV), when going down the pit, any experienced inspector can spot them—the white "Eibach" logo is perfectly visible. Driving without homologation can result in a fine, failure at the ITV, and insurance problems in case of an accident. The Eibach Pro Kit springs include TÜV certification, which is the essential document for obtaining homologation in Spain.

Can the Eibach Pro Kit springs be fitted with the original shock absorbers?

Yes, the Pro Kit is specifically designed to be compatible with the original dampers. This is one of its major advantages over a full coilover kit: you don't need to change the damper. However, if the original dampers are worn, now is the ideal time to replace them—a worn damper combined with a stiffer spring can worsen handling. How much exactly do the Eibach Pro Kit springs lower the ride height?

It depends on the vehicle model. The Pro Kit is designed for a moderate and balanced lowering, generally between 20 and 40 mm depending on the car. On models with a factory-fitted sport chassis (GTI, Cupra, RS versions, etc.), the lowering will be less because the car already has a lower ride height. The exact figure for your model is listed on each product's specifications sheet. If you want a greater lowering, Eibach offers the Sportline range, with more aggressive lowering options.

What is the difference between the Eibach Pro Kit and the Sportline?

The Pro Kit is the most balanced: a moderate lowering (20-40 mm), compatible with stock shock absorbers, and very focused on comfort for everyday use. The Sportline offers a more aggressive lowering (35-65 mm depending on the model), with a firmer spring rate. For a more aggressive look and sportier handling, choose the Sportline; for daily driving with a bit more camber, the Pro Kit is the smarter option.

How is the homologation of Eibach Pro Kit springs processed in Spain?

Once the springs are installed, the process requires: the TÜV certificate for the kit (included with the product), the installation certificate stamped by the workshop, photographs of the vehicle with the springs installed, and height measurements. With this documentation, a technical project is drawn up and submitted to the vehicle inspection station (ITV) to legalize the modification.
