Speedline Corse is the world benchmark in competition wheels. With more than 80 FIA titles and a presence in the most demanding motorsport categories — Formula 1, WRC, Group A, GT and Super Touring — its wheels are the original equipment on the most iconic cars of modern rallying: Ford Fiesta WRC, Skoda Fabia R5, Peugeot 208 R2 and R5, Citroën C3 R5, Renault Clio R5, Subaru Impreza WRC and Mitsubishi, among many others. Made entirely in Italy, Speedline is also an original supplier to Lamborghini, Ferrari and Aston Martin.

Its aftermarket range covers 14" to 18", with models for tarmac, gravel, rally, track and sporty road use. Every wheel is the direct result of experience gained in top-level competition, brought to a product that is accessible to the end user without giving up any of its technical features.

Manufacturing technology

Low-pressure casting (14"–16" models)

Most Speedline wheels are made by multi-injection low-pressure casting using primary ALSi7 alloy. After casting, each wheel undergoes heat treatment at Speedline's own in-house plants — the process is never outsourced — followed by X-ray quality control and precision CNC machining.

Patented Flow Forming (Turini 17"–18" models)

Speedline's Flow Forming process is patented — only Speedline can make wheels with this exact technology. The casting is spun at high speed inside a specific mould: the hot aluminium is compacted, creating a linear grain structure that greatly increases mechanical strength. The result is a wheel that is lighter and stronger than conventional aluminium, at a much lower cost than magnesium.

Beware of counterfeits: Speedline's quality and reputation have led to a proliferation of low-quality copies sold under similar names. Fake wheels are not made by low-pressure casting, lack heat treatment, are noticeably heavier and have imperfections that prevent correct balancing, causing vibrations and much lower impact resistance. Frequently asked questions about Speedline wheels

What is the difference between the Speedline 2108 and the 2110?

Both are rally wheels suitable for tarmac and gravel, but with different profiles. The 2110 is the most classic and versatile model, with a spoke design that balances strength and weight. The 2108 has a more reinforced design, made specifically for gravel and rough terrain where the risk of side impacts is higher. If you mainly drive on gravel or want the toughest wheel in the catalogue in small sizes, the 2108 is the choice. For tarmac or mixed use, the 2110 is the most popular.

What is the Flow Forming process and why is it better?

Flow Forming is a manufacturing process patented exclusively by Speedline. The hot cast aluminium is spun at high rpm inside a special mould, compacting the material and creating a linear grain structure. As a result, the same amount of alloy produces a thinner, lighter wheel with greater mechanical strength than conventional casting. It is the alternative to magnesium — similar strength and lightness at a much lower cost. Only the Turini models in 17" and 18" use this process.

Are Speedline wheels homologated for road use (ITV)?

It depends on the model and use. Aftermarket Speedline wheels intended for road use are homologated and can pass the vehicle inspection without problems, as long as the sizes are compatible with those specified for the vehicle. Pure competition wheels (for rally or closed circuits) are not homologated for public roads. Each product page indicates whether the wheel is road legal. If you have doubts about homologation for your car model, ask us before buying.

How can I tell a genuine Speedline wheel from a copy?

Genuine Speedline wheels have the model reference, weight and manufacturing code engraved on the inside of the rim. The finish of a genuine wheel is perfectly even — with no pores, burrs or visible imperfections. The weight is noticeably lower than that of copies. Counterfeits usually look similar in photos, but in your hands they feel heavier, with a rougher finish and without the correct control numbers. Always buy from authorised dealers to guarantee authenticity.

Which Speedline wheel is right for a Renault Clio R2/R3?

For the Clio R2 and R3 on tarmac, the reference wheel is the Speedline 2120 Turini in 7×17 with a 4×100 bolt pattern, which is the official wheel in many of these categories. For gravel, the 2118 in compatible sizes is the toughest option. The Clio R5 usually runs the Turini Flow Formed in 17" or 18". Contact us with the exact model of your Clio and your category's regulations and we will confirm the correct reference.

Can Speedline rally wheels be used on the road?

Some models can, others cannot. Homologated aftermarket Speedline wheels — such as the Turini Flow Formed range — are perfectly valid for road use with ITV homologation. Pure competition models without E-marking are not legal on public roads. Besides the type of wheel, you need to check that the sizes (diameter, width and offset) are compatible with the vehicle and that there is no interference with the wheel arch or the brake caliper.
