Homologation and safety:

In karting we do not have the protection that we can have in a rally vehicle, so the homologations are based on the resistance of the materials to abrasion in the event of a possible fall.

This is where CIK-FIA homologation comes from.

In it we find a specific subdivision for outdoor karting:

- The CIK-FIA Level 1 standard, or Level 1 , is designed for leisure use. Suits with this certification are generally made of polyester and cotton to ensure good protection while favouring low weight for greater comfort .
- The CIK-FIA Level 2 standard, or Level 2 , compatible with international or national level competitions. These karting suits usually have an outer layer in Cordura and an inner layer in cotton to ensure superior protection compared to the Level 1 standard.

As with the FIA regulations for rally suits, karting suits must have the homologation and expiry date embroidered on the garment. Karting suits have a 5-year expiry date from the date of manufacture .

For indoor karting, it is not necessary for the suits to be homologated.

The use of a rain suit over the karting suit is authorised and recommended in case of rain in order to stay dry and focus on your race.

Don't forget to complete your pilot equipment with a pair of gloves , a pair of boots , underwear , a helmet and elbow or knee protection .

What size for my karting suit?

To measure your measurements is very simple, just get a measuring tape and take the measurements while standing:
- your chest circumference, placing the tape measure at armpit level to measure the widest part of your bust, leaving your arms hanging.
- your waist, placing the tape measure about 10cm from the hollow of your hips, leaving your arms hanging
- your hips by placing the tape measure around your hips, the tape measure should be placed approximately 18-20cm from your waist.
- Your thigh circumference, placing the tape measure approximately 10cm from your crotch and measuring the widest part of your thigh
- the width of your shoulders measuring across your back from the point of the first shoulder bone to the other
- the length of your arm from the top of your shoulder to your wrist, make sure to bend your arm a little during the measurement
- the length of the front torso from the sternal notch (hollow of the neck) to your crotch with the tape measure vertical
- your inside leg length from crotch to ankle bone
- your back length from the nape of your neck to your waist

Compare your measurement with the size chart below to find the jumpsuit size that best suits you.
Don't forget to take into account their size and weight before choosing your next jumpsuit.
